Althought I tried my best to verify my informations, in some cases I published some erroneous information. I sincerly apologize. Gerd Bausch
Vol. 1, first edition 2018: p. 35 Different biographies give different names for Karmapa's father. In Nik Douglas and Meryl White, Karmapa - the Black hat Lama, he is called Päljor Püntsok, which might be the best choice, as the book was written under the auspices of the late Karmapa. p. 54 Even though he was called "Drukchen (and not Gyalwang Drukpa) Paljor Rinpoche", he had nothing to do with the heads of the Drukpa Kagyü Lineage, who are also called Drukchen, which was the reason for my confusion. p. 54, footnote 64: Khyentse Chokyi Lodro had been identified originally as the incarnation associated with the Nyingma monastery of Katok, but "Katok" is normally not added to his name. Pg 41 Sometimes in the context of the lineage of the Beru Khyentse Rinpoches, the first Khyentse Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo is also counted, but most commenly the actual Beru Khyentse (mentioned on p. 94) is reffered to as the second, and his precessor who's mentioned on p. 41 as First Beru Khyentse Rinpoche P. 94 Next Bodhgaya, HH the 16th Karmapa visted the sanctuary of the six-armed Mahakala Chadrugbpa, not of the four-armed Mahakala Chagshipa. P. 131: “Jigme Rinpoche recounts that Karmapa gave the Mahamudra transmission only after midnight, when he had finished his daily tasks.” This information, based on an account in Buddhismus Heute, is wrong. Jigme Rinpoche says that he never gave this information. And of course the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa taught in all kind of situations, including the Mahamudra, as is documented in the chapter “How Karmapa Taught” in Vol. 2. My sinceres excuses for misquoting Jigme Rinpoche! P. 167: “That very same year Sister Palmo made a trip to the West, during which she met Trungpa Rinpoche to persuade him to invite Karmapa.” She didn’t need to persuade Chögyam Trungpa, as he already had invited HH, as mentioned on p. 167 as well. Instead, as Lee Weingrad accounts: “The point of the meeting was Sister Palmo announcing to the Vidyadhara that the 16th Karmapa intended to visit the West, and Rinpoche would be the host.“ (Lee Weingrad, June 17, 2013, post on: https://shambhalatimes.org/2018/11/01/beyond-the-shower-curtain/)
