Longlife Prayers composed by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa
in the  "order of importance" ("ranking") established by HH in 1967

Long-life prayer for Künzig Shamar Rinpoche

In 1964, the 16th Karmapa officially enthroned Shamar Rinpoche and addressed at this occasion a prayer of long life to the Shamarpa in which he wrote:
The Long-Life Prayer for Mipham Choekyi Lodro, the 14th Supreme Red Crown Holder of the Shamar Lineage - entitled the Melodious Voice Perfectly Bloomed with Vajra Youth

OM SVASTI
GELEK KUN GYI JUNG NE DRO WAI GON
THA YE NAM PAR PAG ME NGO TSAR GYI
NAM ROL JI SID DE NYED DER KU TAM
ZAB YANG KHA KYAB DRO LA JE TSE WAI.

The source virtue and fundamental goodness, the Lord of beings,
Through infinitude of wondrous emanations you manifest in as many forms,
Diffusing Love & Compassion to beings as vast as the sky,

PHAG CHOG GANG CHEN GON PO CHEN RE ZIG
NGO WO CHIG DU PAL DEN KARMAPA
SANG SUM YER ME RIG SUM GON POI TSUL
GANG DEI NAM THRUL CHOG TRUL NYIN JED WANG

The living embodiment of supreme Arya Avalokiteshvara,
The Lord Protector of the Land of Snow,
With three Secrets inseparable with the glorious Karmapa,
In the form of three Lord families,
Whose emanation, the Sun-Like eminent incarnation,

DRUB GYU TEN PAI DAG POR NGA SOL ZHING
GELEK SHI PAI ME TOG THOR WA DANG
DRANG SONG DEN PAI DEN TSIG ZUNG DEL THU
TEN PAI DAG POR TAG TEN RAB GYE SHOG

Initiated and enthroned in the sovereign master of the doctrine of the Practice Lineage
Thus strewing continual rain of auspicious flowers as symbol of virtue and well being,
Conjoined with the power of True Speech accomplished by the Sages,
May you be firm, eternal and flourish as the Master of the Teaching.

KAL PA DRANG ME SUM DU TSOG NYI KYI
THAR SON ZHEN PHEN JANG CHUB THUG KYE KYI
GANG DUL DUL JED THRIN LE PAL NGA WA
NYIN JED WANG PO GANG DEI ZHAB TEN SOL

Within the three countless kalpas you have accomplished the Two Accumulations,
And have generated the Bodhicitta benefiting others,
You, the Sun-like one, who possess the glory of Virtuous Activity, and who
Appropriately tame and discipline,
May your Lotus-Feet be firm.

KHE PAI TSER SON KUN KHYEN MI KYOD ZHAB
TSUN PAI PAL NGA CHO DRAG GYA TSO DE
DRUB PAI TSUG GYEN GONG MA NAM SUM DANG
SANG SUM YER ME CHOG THRUL DA ZHON GYI

Mikyo Dorje, the Omniscient One who reached the peak of scholastic mastery,
Chodrak Gyatso, glorious in diligence of morality,
Your three secrets inseparable with the three Supreme Ones, the crown-ornament of Siddhas,

ZHAB ZUNG MI JIG SENG GEI THRI KHOD DE
SA SUM NGE DON CHO KYI KHOR LO NI
GYUN CHE ME PAR RANG NANG TSAL GYI KHOR
YI GE TSOG CHEN NGO WOR TEN ZHUK SOL

You thus unceasingly turn the Wheel of Dharma on ultimate meaning throughout the three realms;
Through the power of self-realised Wisdom,
May you live long in the nature of indestructible Vajra Body,

TOB CHUI NGANG ROL DUL CHIG ZHING GYA TSOR
MA GAG NA TSOG NAM ROL DEI DAG NYID
NGO WO NYID KU SANG SUM GAG ME KYI
THA YE ZHING GO GON POR TSO ZHE SOL.

Revelling in the Ten Wielding Powers, you emanate multitude of forms unobstructed,
Within the ocean of infinite realms and continents,
Unstirring from the essence of Svabhavikaya, yet with the Three Secrets unimpeded,
May you live long as Lord protector for the limitless fields.

TSIG GI DEN PE MOD PA DENG BOR WE
TSA SUM LU ME DEN PAI THU KUL TE
MAHAKALA CHAM DAL DREG PAI TSOG
CHOG GI TRUL KUI LU DANG DRIB ZHIN DROG

By the strength of the truth of words here expressed,
And with ardent urge to the unfailing truth of the Three Roots,
May Mahakala & Mahakali and hosts of noble retinue,
Accompany and escort the perfect incarnation like a shadow inseparable from the Body,

DE YI THU LE DRUB TEN DAR ZHING GYE
TEN DZIN KYE BUI KU TSE SID NA TEN
NGO KUN KYAB DAG TSEN MA BAR WAI ZI
TEN YO KUN LA SHI PA DRUB GYUR CHIG.

By virtue of which, may the teaching of the Practice Lineage flourish and bear fruit.
The lives of Great Beings, the Holder of the Doctrine, be firm within this world.
Through the brilliant glory of pervasive phenomena, the primordial innate Wisdom,
May both outer world and inner beings be auspicious, virtuous and wholesome.

This long life prayer for the 14th holder of the Shamar Lineage known as Karma Dragpa Ten Pay Tsa Lag Pal Den Chog Ley Nam Gyal Thrin Ley Kun Khyab Pal Sang Po was written on the 4th month of waxing full moon day at glorious Tashi-Choeling Dharma Chakra Centre, Karmapa's main seat in Sikkim, believed to be blessed as the heart of Akanishtha pure land, by His Holiness 16th Gyalwa Karmapa.

Long-life prayers for the Gyalwa Yabse Situ Rinpoche, Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche and Gyaltsab Rinpoche

I was not able to obtain the translations of the long-life prayers for the Gyalwa Yabse Situ Rinpoche, Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche and Gyaltsab Rinpoche. If anyone of you has information about that or could provide with one of them, I would be extremely grateful.
The same applies for the othe long-life prayers, listed on https://dakinitranslations.com/2021/04/16/new-translation-third-volume-of-16th-karmapas-collected-works/, No. 65 onwards

Long-life prayer for the 10th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche
Composed by HH 16th Karmapa, Rigpe Dorje

Homage to the Guru!
From the expanse of primordial, pure Dharmakaya
effortless continuation of the body arises
to accomplish the buddha’s activity,
to benefit the ocean-like number of beings filling the space
and to clear away the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies.

From the space of unconditional truth,
you expose the essence of Buddha Dharma
in order to tame beings. Hence you are the sun that shines
and brightens the practice lineage.
Supreme Nirmanakaya*, may you live long!

Your wisdom is even greater than that of Mikyo Dorje ;
the purity of holding the monastic vow is the same as that of the
Victorius Dharma Kirti;
when you bring up your devotees with great kindness,
you are like Dudul Dorje;
being all three of them in one, your voice reaches above, below
and on earth like a thunder.
Whoever hears it, obtains auspicious, excellant wisdom.
Supreme Nirmanakaya, may you live long!

From the Sutras, Tantras and the all-inclusive ocean of phenomena,
Mandalas, the union of E-vam (wisdom and skillful means) and
the basis of the generation and the completion stages arise.
The inseparability of apperance and mind is Vajrasattva ;
being the embodiment of all these, and possessing all
the above qualities, you are the absolute Protector.
Supreme, sun-like Nirmanakaya, may you live long!

By the power of the truth of all Buddhas and the Bodhisattvas,
through the energy and ocean-like blessings of the Kagyu,
and due to the auspicious words of aspirations made by Gurus,
Yidams and Protectors,
may you, the incomparable sun-like Nirmanakaya, live long!

*Sanskrit nirmanakaya, Tibetan: tulku, can mean emanation of a Buddha or intentional reincarnations of awakened mind streams. In this case it's a supreme nirmanakaya, and Sangye (Buddha) Nyenpa was the teacher of the 8th Karmapa, so it's the emanation of a 10th Bhumi bodhisattva, which is the highest level before Buddhahood.
